how to set bios to boot from CD first?

any one know how to do it, I'm trying to figure out this so I can access my xp installation disk when my computer boot up.

well turn on you computer and then ther should some message near the bottom of the screen saying: "press _____ to enter BIOS" the _____ changes in different computers. then in BIOS there should be somthing called boot order or boot sequence then change it so the HDD is second and the CD is first
