How to setup LAN on new computer

I just got my computer working and XP on it and have been trying to figure out how to download the driver for the ethernet but can't get it to work. So if anyone could help at all would be great thank you.
 
Youll probably have to download the driver on another computer, then copy and install it. :) Unless you have the MoBo driver disk.
 
Please download Speccy from here: http://www.piriform.com/speccy
Then install and run it, then after it has loaded please click the File menu and click Save as text file.
Please then open the text file and post the contents here.
Also it would help if you posted your system's make and model :)
