how to share internet connection ??

My laptop has a wireless internet connection, is there any chance to share that connection with my desktop computer ? I'm not able to connect my desktop computer directly to the router. Can I do it using USB cable or something ? Please help.
 
You could share though ethernet or maybe even something like USB if you'd want. Though, why not just get a wireless card for your desktop?

Something like this would probably be your best bet... However, if you MUST connect the two computers together, ethernet would probably be the smartest connection. You won't need any additional software and it's much more reliable that USB. I do know there are USB cables specifically made for transfering files, so I don't see why you also couldn't connect to the internet with the right software...
