How To Transfer A Television Show Interview From TV To The Computer...?

GREAT NEWS!!

My friend is going to be interviewed on a TV show and I want to put his interview that's on TV onto the computer. I want to surpise him.

My equipment includes: Video Camera Recorder, firewire, some extra cables, etc.

What will I need? And how do I transfer his interview that's on TV, to the computer? (From here, I will make a dvd out of it to give to him, and send his interview to our friends...)

You would need a video capture card. And no pc eye its not illegal to record tv shows for personal use or DVRS would be illegal moron.

If your video camera has video inputs on it you can record that way to.

I'm cuious. What do you mean by video inputs...? Because I can hook up my video camera to the computer using red, white, and yellow plugs. But I don't know what to do from there...

Meaning if your camera had a way to transfer video and audio from the tv TO the camera you could do this then transfer it to your pc. Otherwise, use a capture card and hook it up to your tv and record that way.
