How to transfer data from one hard drive to another?

my friend has 3 hard drives on his pc, and i want to know if he can transfer data from his second HD to the first HD?

and how can he do that? because there's some software that's not available anymore, on his second HD that's not on the first HD..

If the software's installed odds are it wont work becuase of registry stuffos. Regardless, pop all three HDDs into one computer and copy-paste Now if you want to a do a drive-clone type of deal, something like DriveImage or Norton Ghost will do the trick nice and easy

There's a chance to get to work a copied installation. Run it and watch the error messages (most often caused by missing dlls). Then copy the missing files into the windows\system folder and that's it. Obviously, it won't run as well as installed (missing file associations, etc.)...

Naturally... it just depends on how well (or poorly) the program was designed
