How to tune Wifi card?

Hi,

I have a new HP pavilion dv6 laptop and it comes with a wifi card but the 5ghz signal is not very stable where I'm living and I would like the wifi card to only detect and use the broadcasting 2.4 ghz signal. Is there any way I could configure it?

I have tried to configure it by going through the properties on the wireless adapter but there doesn't seem to be an option of not using 'n'.

Thanks in advance!

You can't disable the specific band for the network card. Just don't connect to the 5Ghz network of your router.

if you don't want to use 5ghz at all. you can disable it in your router setup. I've disabled mine on my link sys router. Just log into the router IP address and dig around for the option to disable 5ghz.
