How to Unlock an Evga 7800gtx...

Alright so a friend of mine bought a new vid card and its a diff company than mine and a few diff specs its an Evga 7800gtx and there was no software with it and just the basic drivers where can he get the software for this card to use it to its full potential...thanks guys..

Firstly, you can't unlock the video card - there are no locked pipes on the 7800GTX. Secondly i'd download the latest drivers from the nVidia website rather than using the ones on the CD. Thirdly, if you're looking to overclock the video card, download a program like Riva Tuner or Coolbits.

evga.com... nividia.com....or even xfx.com i think b/c its just the driver for the card and the company doesnt matter....just search 7800GTX drivers on google.

The drivers on the nVidia site will work fine, the cards are all reference except for the cooling solution. If you want to unlock overclocking tabs search for CoolBits2 (you can find it at www.guru3d.com)
