How to upgrade laptop RAM

This is proberly a very basic question to some of you, is it possible to upgrade the ram in my ASUS X5DC laptop i know its not the best laptop but would it be worth it. At the moment it has 3GB of ram. And would it be hard todo this also?

Yes you can upload the RAM, handling a laptop will be a tough job, you can do this yourself if you follow proper guides.
But before purchasing RAM just see what type it is on CPU-Z, that will also tell you about available slots. Also if you are unsure of this then get it done by a professional, any computer service store will do it for very low cost.
 
You should also take into consideration the fact that memory banks like DDR2 are a lot more expensive than their DDR3 counterparts.
