how to upgrade my laptop

Im in an exchange program so im gonna live in Alabama for a full year and my dad gave me his old laptop its an dell inspiron 700m I want to upgrade it before I go to have a decent lapto, can someone help to find the best hardware compatible with my lapto, i mean a new hdd a new ram or anything to make my laptop faster.

The 700m is a nice laptop, you can upgrade the ram to 2gigs for about $80 and a new hdd will run you about $150. Check ebay.

i have read only a few threads on this forum and it seems everyone has somethin up their ass, so wat if he suggested the same thing as you, seems by chance he did.....deal with it, no need to get up tight
