How to use anti-static wristband

Where do i clip the aligator clip, do i clip it on the case or the motherboard and where, a pic would be nice, can i use both hands or just the one hand with the strap around it?

Will I also need an anti-static mat?

Yes you can use both hands, and no, you dont need the mat. I think the mat id for putting components on

basically yes, although it doesnt mean that your computer is now indestructable, it will still break if you hit it hard or scratch the motherboard. Yes, the mat is for components really, not the whole computer. If you are taking the whole system apart and need somewhere to put the bits then yes, get a mat. I have one and find it very useful.

Anti-static wrist wraps are great, if you get a decent one then it can be quite discreet and you may not even notice it, but boy do u wish you had one on when your motherboard goes pop....
