The "/?" displays help at the command prompt. You would type "echo on" to turn on the command echoing feature found in XP. Can I assume you are talking about the XML data processing language? There's a full guide on this at http://docs.xmlecho.org/echo-spec.html

when I type "echo /?" in the cmdline,it alway shows the help message..how can i use it to show the string "/?"

if you put the quotes arount it, it will show this like "/?".
