how to use TV as a monitor?

my family wants to kno how to use TV as a monitor.... they have this subscription program that they can watch any shows and tv by streaming and jus pay monthly fee.... more than 1 people want to watch and they want bigger screen as big as the TV...

i knows best and the most hi tech in the family.... but i admit i dont kno much about this...

so can someone list all the supplies i need to be able to use the TV as a monitor?

What graphics card do you have?
 
Is this a basic TV or a LCD/Plasma TV? If it's a basic, older, CRT TV, you do need RCA/SVHS out. Just realize the quality will be very poor.

its a basic and classic tv.... its RCA mid 90s... or late 90s

so can anyone link me the stuff i need? and where to buy? new egg have it? can sum1 link me it>?

Was that necessary? No, I didn't think so.

If you use the TV as your monitor, it is going to be so blurry that you will not be able to read text smaller than about size 20. I would really recommend not doing that.

hmmm.... i see. so you think having duel monitor is better? but i gotta buy new card with 2 dvi...
