Hows that computer for mediocre gaming?

AMD Athlon II 250 3.0GHz Processor
8GB 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM
500GB Hard drive
ATI Radeon 5450 1GB Graphics Card
Windows 7 Home Premium Edition (64 Bit)
(that is the manufacturer description)

general use for games, such as Flight simulator X, GTA iv..
my current is intel E5200+nvidia 9400, i presume the system above is better?

Both the games which you listed require a really high config.
Your PC might be able to play them at a low resolutions and low settings.
But don't expect it to play the game smoothly you might also experience some lag.
