in regards to the monitor, I can't really stretch out my budget anymore. I think the resolution of that monitor will be fine for me, since it's going to be a massive upgrade from what i'm currently using anyway.

It's a fine build for apparently office or relative reasons you're aiming for. Although a higher inch monitor won't hurt a bit, and I personally think there isn't much of a difference in prices really.
