hp 530 laptop problem???

hi there i have a problem with my hp 530 specs are

celeron m 1.6 mhz

hard drive 80gb

2gb ddr2

windows 7 pro

the battery is gone on it so have to keep it constanly plugged in to mains problem is the fan is always running at full speed i no its a heat problem sio gona get some artic silver and lay a new layer of paste to cpu and sure it needs a clean as havsnt been cleaned since new the outher problem is it randomly shuts down and even conpletely turns of any ideas??? thank you ..............i havnt got the money to get a new laptop so need to fix this cheers

Like you said, you have a heat issue, thats why it shuts off on you, or possibly a bad hard drive. I just worked on one that it shut off because of the HDD was faulty.

thanks for your reply mate wot u worked on a hp 530? and i dun a test on it and the hardrive did have 501 errors so maybe its the hard drive how do i no for sure its the hard drive?

No I worked on an inspiron 1501 with a 160 gb seagate drive in it and it was faulty, its still under warranty too. Was the diagnostic able to fix all the errors? What were some of the errors?
