I have had my laptop for 2 years now and it was starting to get very hot around 100 c so i opened it up and cleaned it out put on london drugs brand thermal paste and closed it back up. now i am hitting 150 c when playing games?? im using a cooling pad and am pretty tech smart but i cant figure this out. help please.
 
you may want to look into the components. I find in laptops that excess new heat is a sign of failure.

Also check that your fan and heatsink doesn't have any defaults. Check that the fan is installed the right way around too (on some laptops, it is possible to invert them ((blowing air into the processor instead of pulling the hot air out))

Next is a question. Where are you getting the temp's from??
Most CPU's will shut down way before it hits 150 celsius.
