HP dc5000 tower wont post or boot

Hey Guys
I wanna pick some of your heads about an issue I am having with HP/compaq dc5000 microtower. The tower wont post when I have memory and hard drive in it will just turn on because the case and cpu and psu fan will come on and the power LED light will be on also but the HDD LED wont come on or stay on.

So could it be an dead motherboard or bad PSU? Because I tried clearing the CMOS battery and that didnt do the trick either. So any other tricks or tips I can try?

Memory is not bad either.
 
Could be a number of things, YOU will have to narrow them down...First change the PSU, then the Hard Drive. and so on..
 
Have you tried running it with only one stick of RAM installed if you have more than one stick? One of the sticks could be bad if you have more than one.

If you only have one stick, some boards will not boot with only one stick installed.
