HP DM4 Fan Problems - Need Assistance

Hey everyone! First post, I've been on XDA for awhile but they never have any computer support. I finally found an active forum :D

I recently bought an HP DM4, and I love the computer. But recently, I've been having an issue with it. The fan just goes crazy and starts whizzing really loud and it's sounds like its going really really fast. It's not a minor annoyance either, I can hear it from the next room.

I've looked online for tutorials on how to get to the fan, but I can't find one. I opened it up and I can get to the hard drive and wireless card and all that, and I know where the fan is. But I simply can't see it or get to it, and I really dont want to completely disassemble my computer just to tighten a fan or fix whatever issue thats causing it. Does anyone have experience with this type of computer? Or can anyone help me find a solution?

Have you tried just taking a can of compressed air and blowing in the exhaust ports to see if maybe you have a bunch of dust blocking the cooling fan?

How old is this laptop? May need to be fully disassembled and reapply thermal paste to the cpu.

It's a brand new HP DM4, I bought it in February. I just want to know how to get to the fan really, it seems like its impossible without completely disassembling it (keyboard, trackpad, hard drive, screen, everything) and it just seems like its too much work. I've searched everywhere for instructions but I can't find any.

I considered it, but it just seems like it would be a waste of time for something I could do in 15mins is all. Im just not looking to spend 2 hours disassembling and reassembling a laptop

Well there isn't much else you can do besides that. A good thermal paste re-apply can make a world of difference. Did it on a friends DV6000 (which I will NEVER do again) and it kept the fan from coming on every 5 seconds.
