Hey, I've got an external USB 2.0 Hp Dual TV tuner that I'd like to use for my PC, but not for tv viewing purposes.
The Tuner has 2 sets of standard composite A/V inputs on it along with S video inputs. When I connect this to my computer, windows media centre will recognize whatever device I plugged into there, and in this case it is my Xbox (original black one).
It seems as though whenever I try to set it up in media centre it does get recognized and I can see the picture that the xbox is displaying in the setup menus, but windows wants it to be a set top box and there aren't options for it to be anything else i.e. (vcr, dvd player, game console etc.)
I'd very much like to be able to use the TV tuners available inputs to enable me to play xbox using my computers monitor. I don't really know if I can get this to work or not, but I was wondering if there is any 3rd party software to take advantage of the inputs on the external tuner.
Basically what I'd like to do is take advantage of the Tuners inputs to use generic devices on my computer monitor and not be limited to a set top box.
Any suggestions?
