Alright guys been awhile since i been on anyways, My gf's Dv9000 was working great i just installed a fresh copy of windows 7 and got all updates and what not done and i noticed a bios update i went and checked hers and it was an 08 version so i grabbed the latest which was suppose to fix some bugs and what not, installed it through windows which is how hps flashing system works, it said successful and powered off.

So I am thinking good everythings fine time to install some misc programs, i power it back on it powers on for idk 5-6 seconds never post and just keeps power cycling on and off. So i google and find crysis recovery stuff i throw the bios on it from hps site still the latest, and apparently i push the windows key and B at the same time and hold them and press power and wait for lights to light up on the floppy drive. It does, after a few i let go and the laptop makes the loudes beeping noises i have heard no kidding i almost jumped outta my socks when it first happened. Any ways i read some other sites and they say the beeping is normal and some others dont mention beeping at all.

Well i let it run it powers off, i turn it back on and the hp logo appears but after the post screen the laptop powers off again when i go into the bios its like half a bios very few options doesnt even show the model like it used to.

I am stumped and i know there has to be away to reflash this properly i just need help or something.

This is why you never update a bios when everything is working correctly. The only time you want to update the bios is when it fixes a issue you are currently having with the pc. I would imagine you downloaded the wrong bios file. If you can find the cmos battery, you can remove it to hopefully reset the cmos but I have a feeling it won't make any difference. You will either have to contact hp for support, most likely you will have to send it in for them to replace the bios chip or buy a new laptop.

already did the cmos, and they use phoenix bios, now its just trying to figure out how to flash it again i was hoping someone here was familiar with the phoenix bios and flashing.
