hp dvd 740

my hp dvd 740 just started its self on fire so that is broking, could it have done anything to my mb, cpu, psu? cuz today i unplug my dvd drive to hock up this other hard drive and then my computer wouldnt post into windows, so then i plug my dvd drive and put everything back to how its was before and now it still wont post and my dvd drive is broking.

any ideas?

well i see nobody new anything about this. i got it fixed so yeah. im waiting for my new hard drive to come in the mail 12gb to 320gb should be a step up lol
