Just got this laptop.....im wondering if i can upgrade from Windows ME to Win XP. Do i need to upgrade the memory or anything? What other accessories or anything can i do to this computer? maybe a longer lasting battery?

It would run way too slow, I'd go up to Win2000 instead of the XP leap. It's a small HD and the max RAM is very little also.
