HP Pavilion 8570C upgardable

I have an old HP 8570C. It runs find but the power supply is noisy and the HD grinds. Can I just get a new HD or doesnt it take other brands of hard drives. Pretty much what I am asking is if you can customize this HP. Bewareee I am a Noooob. haha thanks

1. You can get a different HDD. For some stuff to look for, have a look at HDD 101.
2. As for the PSU, you *should* be able to change it if you want (ive never encountered a proprietory HP PSU but thats not to say they dont exist)
