I'm changing the older socket 478 board in a HP Pavilion 743c to a Biostar P4M900-M4 board. I had to get a 20 pin adapter for the power supply to the board. Now my problem is one of ignorance. How do I connect to the board with the power switch of the front panel? The older board used a JFP1 10 pin connection where as my new biostar uses a JPanel1 16 pin connection. Thanks for the help in advance!

You may need to find some plugs and cut and solder them to fit the new board accordingly. Or if you can find another computer to steal the parts from.

You only really need the power switch.

thanks

It worked for turning on the system. Now my problem is not being able to use my usb mouse and keyboard to set things up. I wonder if i need a ps2 type mouse and keyboard?

Yeah, PS/2 will help to set up. I'd just buy some cheap PS/2 mouse/keyboard and save them for the future
