HP Pavilion p6510y Desktop Bios Windows 8 Help Please

So I upgraded to windows 8 and have never updated my bios. When I go on hp and try and get the update it only offers me windows 7 update for bios. Is that ok? I didnt want to just try it out without asking. I have had the computer for a while, but just recently became interested in upgrading and increasing my overall understanding of computers.

Here is my Bios Information...Computer came with Windows 7, I have done a clean install of windows 8 on SSD, but I have the original Hdd still intalled.

If the bios update doesn't fix an issue you are currently having with the system then don't update the bios. There are many times that users have bricked their pc just because they think they needed to update the bios.
 
I am not having any issues, just read aida64 says I should update, but also I need to buy another program from them to do it, so I was a little suspicious.

You don't need to buy a third party program to do a BIOS update, so yes, that is suspicious. Like John said, if you're not having issues, then don't upgrade the BIOS.
 
The only time I ever upgrade my BIOS is to fix certain issues that only the update can fix.
Almost every time I've had to is for newer CPU's to be recognized.
 
Ok I was just checking. I havent upgraded all this time, but have recently gotten bored and have a new interest in the computer, so I have been doing little upgrades here and there. I am looking to get a new motherboard and cpu so I guess the bios on this motherboard wont really matter anyways right

Any Suggestions or awesome deals i shouldnt pass up.. I am ready to buy today or I can wait if there is something groundbreaking coming out in the near future
