HP Pavillion 500-214 Power Supply

Hello all.
I am upgrading my video card in my Pavillion 500-214.
She is currently sporting an AMD A8-6500 APU processor.
8 GB DDR 3 RAM.
Researching a Black Magic Decklink 4K Studio I/O Video Card.
Tech support at Black Magic states that the card mentioned above requires 16 watts of power to operate.

I personally am not IT.16 watts does sound low though.
2 questions
Is the 16 watt requirement correct?
Also does anyone here know how many watts a factory Pavillion has?

Any input would be valuable. Thank You

Its not really a video card, but a video capture card. It won't require a lot of power. So if you are trying to upgrade your video card, this isn't what you want.

Thank you very much for the reply. I must tell you why I am upgrading. Apologies for not divulging this info sooner.
I am currently training myself to edit media using Premier Pro cc.
I understand that my current desktop is not the desired equipment. Due to budget constraints I will be using this Pavillion for training.

Would really appreciate some advice on which direction(video card and power supply) is the best for me given the equipment.
Thank you.

Thank you for the reply.
Great minds think alike.Just completed research on the corsair hx1000.
Absolutely love what I am seeing.
For the money it is the best decision that I feel.I do plan on expanding this unit in the future.
I like having the xtra power in the bank. Will be installing the gforce gtx 960 ssc acx 2.0.
After what I have learned recently I feel like this card with a solid power supply is a good direction to take.
Memory will be next.
Home built workstation here I come.
Thanks again
