i baught a hp pavillion dv6000 not to long ago. i set up my wireless router to my home pc and it works beautifully. i turned on my wireless card in my hp laptop and it found my network ..... and i clicked connect it started connecting it asked for my password i put it then all of a suddenit said it is taking longer to connect that usual. after that it said connection unsuccessful this computer is connected to........ but does not have access to the internet then it gies me some pointers like might be caused by an incorrect wep key or low strength. but i checked all that on my pc and everything is perfect and running smooth. what is the problem. i also checked under device maniger to check my broadcom wlan network card and vista said it works fine. thnx for the help guy its my first time i encounterd this problem

i have a dv9000, and i have also encountered those problems, but unfortunately, i haven't yet figured out what causes it. i bought another router, and i haven't had trouble since. i also updated some drivers. here are some things you can try:
- turn your card on/off
- check for updated drivers
- reset (unplug) your router
- reset computer
- fiddle with settings
- try connecting to a different router
- start smashing things (dont)
