Hi,

Could you let me know what people think of HP PCs / their support for business or home use?

We are conducting some research for them and your comments would be appreciated,

Thanks.

They've come a long way and are good machines. They use good parts such as ASUS motherboards, Seagate drives etc. They hold up well and are very good machines. I have an old HP 6xxx series with a 533Mhz processor in it that just won't die.

Very good machines.

i love HP-built computers
many of them come with a dual cores too, if you look about $1300
I was very close to buying a HP desktop...

well, they are not my favorite, in fact one of my least favorite. Firstly i dont like prebuilt PC companies at all, nothing beats the quality and performance of a custom build. HP/DELL any of the people like that, their PC's only get good when you pay an extreme amount of money.

The PC boxes themselves have improved, but the concept of being stranded without an OS or restore disc that you have to go through the hassle of ordering precisely at the moment you need it just puts up a big red stop sign for me. Just my two centavos.

i own an 2 Hp's and they are great. like LithiumSunset said, they use pretty good quality parts, and they are fairly inexpensive.

I owned an HP in the past. I liked it. Now all I will have is custom built. I am building my own every time now. The Internet makes it so simple to build your own computer.

If you are not intending to build your own, then I too can recommend HP. Don't know how rebates work in the UK, but I can say that when I have bought a HP and it included the rebate, it was always processed pretty quickly.
