HP Printer Issue

I've installed my printer (HP PSC 1315xi All-In-One) but for some reason, I still can not print anything. The printer automatically prints a test page when powered on (happens every time it's powered on, which I think isn't right). When I try to send a job to the printer, it hangs in the print queue and can not deleted/cancel it.

I've stopped/started the print spooler, tried to delete the printer and re-add but it will not delete. I've reboot numerous times and powered off/on the printer too.

The printer is connected via USB and I used installed the software/driver directly from HP's website....

Please help!!

I had the same problems with my printer.
Yes, it is supposed to print a test page each time it's turned on.
Make sure your drivers are the absolute latest, and if they already are, uninstall and re-install them.

No it's not supposed to print a test page every time it's turned on. sorry to say some of these HP printers are absolute crap and we as consumers get stuck with them. I've had my POS HP 1510 for just over a year now and it's been the most problematic, I repeat, the most problematic pile of junk I've ever owned. it's been replaced once, the second unit has been repaired twice and had it's scanner replaced, now six months after that repair the scanner has simply stopped working. these things come from the factory with malfunctions built right in ! good luck !!
