HP w19e monitor problems

I have a HP w19e monitor that is displaying the audio menu. It is in the center of the screen and the cursor just goes behind it. It mostly comes and goes, but today it will not go away. If I push the menu button on the screen and hold it, it will change to the main menu, but it scans all of the icons like a police scanner. I cannot adjust anything and it will return to the audio menu. I have switched to a different monitor and it works just fine. Any help will be appreciated, this problem is very annoying. My computer runs VISTA.

I was hoping that someone would read this post and offer suggestions, or would know how to fix this problem. Perhaps my problem was too complicated. With no response to my thread, I had no choice but to find my own solution. Armed with limited knowledge of a computer, I turned the monitor off and a few hours later I turned it back on. The problem is solved and the monitor works like new. Maybe this will work for anyone else having this problem.
