HP Windows Vista

I just bought the HP Pavilion dv5-1235 dx laptop. It has Windows Vista Home Premium installed on it. The space on the C hard drive is getting filled up with something, but I don't know what. Originally there was about 250 free GB of space. Over the course of a few weeks (without too much installed onto it) it is down to 203 GB of free space. This seems weird to me, so I looked at the files on the disk. I looked through the files and it has about 34 GB of files on C (both hidden and shown). I also used the program WinDirStat to see how the space is being used. It is consistent that there are 34 GB of files. The hard drive says there are 82 GB being used, so where are the other 50 GB? Is this a normal thing to happen, or do I have some problem. Any advice would be great. Thanks

There have been a few post asking this I believe and I think they found out that it was system restore taking the space. You can also download a program called SequoiaView as it will show you what is taking up all your space.
