htlm5 browser default

Your browser should play html5 if whatever you are watching was encoded with it. Unless it was changed, anything with ads will be played by flash player.

We ran into this at my work, M$ browsers were not smart enough to do this (IE & Edge) in some cases. If you are using Chrome or FF they should be doing as John says however if you find they are not or are using one of the other browsers then go here...

https://www.youtube.com/html5

If it has a check mark then you are good, if not there should be a button to click on which will allow you to be able switch HTML5 to the default player. At my work some M$ boxes with IE made the switch and others didn't.

Just uninstall Flash. For me I have Flash and I make YouTube play HTML5 with an addon called YouTube All HTML5. This is for Firefox or Pale Moon.

I really wish websites would just get rid of Flash. It's a nightmare of slow loading, JS activation using NoScript and malware plagued. HTML5 is a lot more resource friendly.
