html,php... activation

hello guys!

I have a problem with .html and .php datas.
I can't create them. If i try it then it shows me a data which i cant' open.

A few months ago i created an html site for my school and then i said to my brother that i want to learn php but i cant create .php datas. Then he said he can make it and since he tryed it i can't create .html site anymore. :mad:

I hope you guys can help me... I would be very thankfull :D
 
php and html files are just plain text. If you know how to write the code you can just open the files with notepad.
