Huge discrepancy between CPU benchmarks

I have been looking at getting a new gaming rig for a while now and have decided that sometime in the next week or two it will finally happen. I have been on a tight budget so I was looking at a 3570k or the 8350, and since I mostly play ArmA and Shogun I wanted the one that was best for gaming.

Here was the first benchmark that I came across for ArmA. The 8150 was used for this one, but supposedly the 3570k smoked it by 31FPS, using stock clocks.

3570k: 92 FPS
8150: 61FPS

Then I recently saw a video by a group called Tek Syndicate and they had totally different results.

8350: 51 FPS

Obviously with ArmA 3 and Rome 2: Total War coming out soon, and my new build needing to last me several years, I want to get what is best for it, since I play ArmA more than any other game combined. Are either of these places known for siding with AMD or Intel?
 
3570k beats the 8350, but for the money the 8320 or 6300 are better if it means more money for the graphics card.
 
3570K is a better processor but if you're only gaming then get the 8320 and pump the extra money into a good video card.

I think you're gettingit wrong. For gaming get i5. For small budget and interested in other things (rendering, videocreation,..) get the FX.
You won't see much difference between them in daily use, in game it can have a difference of 10-40 fps. More depending on gpu though...
The i5 will probably load games faster and calculate faster. The FX will do better in heavily threaded apps,...
So it really depends on the interests and the budget.
 
This is an age old debate that seems to rage on the forums. Little more into an Intel CPU for better performance from some and others say that save and go AMD while getting a more powerful video card. In my opinion you'll maximize the FPS/dollar ratio if you get a slightly weaker (but by no means bad!) CPU and spend a bit more on the GPU.

At that point you're nitpicking a few frames here and there. Pick whichever you think is better. But in the end they'll both serve your needs well.

However ArmA is very CPU dependant so go for the intel.
