I am dumb when it comes to computers. my screen keeps turning blue!

every once in awhile, my screen on my monitor will turn a shade of blue. not the error screen, but the actual color of the monitor. if we mess with the video cable on the tower, the monitor will turn black, and say "monitors going to sleep". the tower itself wont turn off, but the monitors wont turn on again without being restarted.

when the screen goes blue, if you sort of.. tip the tower, it'll fix it.

is this a problem with the computer, the cord, or the video card? (or honestly, none of the above.)

my tower is an HP Elite Desktop Computer, Intel Core i5 3.1GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB SATA HDD
my monitors are Dual 19in LCD Monitors, HP Compaq LE1911, DVD-ROM, Windows 10

If it's VGA then one of the connections is probably loose or the cable has a break in it.

That was fairly common on that as it used different pins for different analog shades of color.

Edit: If you're going to replace it and your monitor and computer both have HDMI or another digital interface like DisplayPort then I'd buy that over another VGA cable.

You might want to try replacing your video cable that connects your video card to your monitor to see if this fixes your problem.
