How do i shut my pc up it is annoyingly loud. I have a hdd that humms.
I want it to be as silent as possible.
Whats the best hard drives and fans etc?

I don't want to hear you scream.

My friend suspended his hard drive with rubber bands :P

But really, just get rubber grommets to make it so the vibration doesn't travel from the hard drive to the case. That should help.

Thank u i used a bit of mouse cable there seems to be doin it. simple yet effective thanku. What about the fans now? Cut of the fins? :confused:
 
How many mounts are there for fans, and what size? (standard are 120mm, 92mm, 80mm, 72mm)
 
uts a coolermaster caviar i think built it a while back. got 2 92mm fans and the oem processor that comes with a pentium d 3.2
 
Antec Tricool 92mm fans will work, but are the stock ones really loud, or is it just the processor fan?
 
The Gpu Fan is the main culprit with the case 1's not far behind. the processor 1 is ok.its a Nvidia 7600GT from xfx
 
if u have the cash get one of those passive coolers that sandwich the gpu, its making the most noise, and like a tuniq tower 120 with a 120mm with the lowest possible dba. get some quieter case fans. defrag your harddrive twice to get stuff near the same tracks so ur hdd isnt flippin all over the place to find files.
