Well i ask a friend from school (who just got a dell) if i could have his vista disc.

So he gave it to me, i installed it, and running it now.

It is SP1, which is good :) but only 32bit, which i want 64bit. It is home premium, and i want ultimate, but for now this is good. I love vista, and i might dual boot XP, i'm not sure yet :P

I love WINDOWS VISTA!!!! :D:D:D:D

Anything i should know and change in the OS to make it run nice???

I'm sort of "new" to windows vista so any help would be great!!!

It has done all the updates and stuff, and i didn't have to activate it :)

Cheers,

Cohen

Please introduce me to that friend of yours.
I may need a windows 7 disc when it comes up. :P

lol,

I just found out it isn't activated :(, i'll have to buy a serial ;), oh well.....

Also, i have found it to be very quick, at least quicker than XP.

If the Vista disk he gave you is a retail and not installed and activated on another computer, you should be able to activate it.

well it won't......

what do i do???? call Microsoft and say it is a reinstall???? If so, does it cancle the other serial???

Ok, well the current serial isn't the "actual" serial, i'll have to call my friend about it, and get the key off him, it is on his computer.

got mine for free , thing to do is wait off to buy a new computer just before the new os comes out, then you get a free copy of both oses
