I am thinking of building a new computer. Now....or later?

My computer is going on five years old and I have stupidly purchased a video game that will not work on my PC. I could put 200 or so dollars into it and be able to play the game, but not any other new games out now or that will be. I am very interested in building my own and I am just not sure if I should build now, or wait for DDR3 to be available, or maybe there are other reasons to wait. I am willing to wait about a year before I will be forced to get a new computer. If I build now, it will be

GIGABYTE GA-965P-S3 LGA 775

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600

Corsair 2GB (2 x 1GB Kit) PC-6400 DDR2 RAM

Thermaltake TR2 500w

e-Geforce 8800 GTS

Is this a good set-up? Should I change anything? Should I wait for a little bit?

Might get more responses in the main desktop section, I think if you really wanted to there are rumors of another price cut, but again its a rumor.... should be pretty solid

wait till fall when phanom hits the market. q6600 will drop to the price of e6600 right now. why have 2 core when u can have 4 core for the same price and just 3 - 4 monthes of waiting. If I were u I will wait.

Thats got my vote, I heard mid Q3 for that though whic would be early july iirc.
If you do want to play the game there is nothing wrong with that build

If building a new computer I would wait till later this summer, no telling how low prices will drop plus AMD is coming out with there new Barcelona spin offs
