I cant count help me?

no.. the prescot is just from the periode when intell still didnt figure out that you can make a processor faster without just going through the roof with the frequenties. AMD is doing that for quite a wile already ^^

Dude, this isn't a recent...eh...problem. Certain processors have been faster, regardless of their MHz, GHz, or whatever. If I remember correctly, the old AMD K6-2 533MHz I had benchmarked slower than dad's old PII 350MHz.

yea, basically the AMD performs more work per clock. its all in the mips and flops (funny, flops would also be the singular form), not the GHZ

a processor is designed to do operations in a certain amount of steps. its like an AMD does a certain process (because there are different kinds of processes) in 2 steps at 2ghz and a pentium 4 does it in 3 steps at 3ghz... well it just took them just as long to do it.

i think the record is like 260 teraflops... set by bluegene/L
completely useless to someone like you or i though... built by IBM btw.
