I’m having issues with running games on my laptop. A while ago I bought the HP g72 laptop which performs really good in my opinion. I bought it for my study. But in my free time I want to play a game sometimes. Just ago I have been playing fallout 3. It should use just a quarter of my video memory but when I play it it’s performing slow. I have 2 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5430 Graphic cards. Both together they have a total amount of 2 GB video memory. I don’t need to use that much for my school but I want a laptop which performs right of course . I already looked for a new driver. I’m using version 8 of this driver but I saw there’s a version 12 of this driver. The only thing is that it doesn’t want to install the version 12 driver but the version 8 agen. can this be the problem? And if it is how can I install the version 12 driver. Thanks for the help :] (sorry for my broken english)

Sorry but you're not gonna be able to max out games on that laptop. You may be able to play your games at low settings at a low resolution. Play around with the game settings and lower the resolution and make sure everything is low, and then see how they play.

It's not all about the V-RAM remember. ;)

Are you playing at 1600X900? At the resolution your GPU isn't strong enough. Try around 720p.

Yep try 1280x720. Failing that, go lower. Just keep on going until you can play the game without any lag. Remember to use low or medium settings for everything too, and the least amount of AA too.
