I CONNECTED MY external HDRIVE power into the moniter output, monitor isnt working!

I wasnt thinking and I plugged the external harddrive power supply into the laptop S-Video TV-Out Connector:eek: ! Now my monitor isnt turning on but the computer is firing up. What should I do? Thanks guys:(
 
Well... Hmm. So this is a laptop? Can you tell that the laptop is actually working? I mean is the HD light flashing? Any beeps? Anything?

I think the lap top is working, it was working prior to the connection, the hardrive light is on and is powering up. Now the monitor isnt powering up, I removed the battery but I'm still having problems.

Is the HD light ON or is it blinking? If it's solid, there's almost certinally something wrong, unless it starts flashing soon after.

Have you tried another monitor(external, of course) or the TV-Out?

The light is solid.
I tried to connect a monitor to the laptop but didn;t respond.
 
Thanks buddy for your help. Its under warranty and the mother board is getting replaced. Lesson learned go slow when connecting equipment together and keep the crying baby out of the room while your working. Thanks again
