Hi!
I didn't know what thread to post this to, so I thought I'd post it here! When I log on on Windows XP, the blue users page are all gone, instead, there's a page with a dialog in the middle of the screen, and it says username and password. I hate this, and I don't know how to change it back. I have tried in the users account in the control panel. But it only says

"Client Services for Netware has disabled Welcome Screen and Fast User Switching. To restore this feature, you must uninstall Client Services for Netware."

I've searched my computer everywhere I could think of for that program, but it isn't on it. So what does that message mean? Is Client Services really a program? Please help!

PS Is this the right place to post this???

Are you on your home PC or a work/school PC, cos Netware is a component of Novell Networks (usually in corporate environments, not home)

There should be a Novell Client somewhere on your PC, if there isnt then we have a problem, lol... Dont forget to have a look through the Add/Remove Programs lsit, aswell as the Add/Remove Windows Components..

As this sounds to me to be some kind of local protocool, go into your current connection you use to connect to the netrwork and click on Properties, in the main properties window you should see a list of "Items" that the connection uses. If my huinch is right then there should be one called "Client Service For NetWare" If this exists in the list then select it and hit UNINSTALL... Restartt your PC and you should be good to go

I believe you just somehow switched it to the classic login mode instead of that pretty blue scrollable login screen with each individual profile.

See if this fix will help.

Go to START>RUN
Type in "regedit" w/o quotes
Navigate through the sections into this directory:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\Winlogon

When you are in Winlogon. On the right, look for "LogonType."
Once found, double click on it.
The "Value Data" should be 1. If it is not 1 and is 0, change it to 1. Don't change anything else.

Close and restart your pc.
