I dont have permission to my old HD

I just got a new computer with a new HD and i slapped on an OS on it. And so my old HD had all my stuff on it and i put it in the new computer but its saying i dont have permission to view the folders...is there anyway to get around this cuz i have very important stuff on there. It has an OS on it but i just need to backup the files i need and then erase it. The other computer it was on is just dead now.

lol oh if it was another's, i'd make sure to erase the password before hand if i were to steal it. I was just in an excitement when i got the new one that i didnt even have the sense to change or backup anything
