Hertz is a cycle per second which in computer terminology means the speed at which the CPU (Central Processing Unit) can complete a task. Now a days CPU speed isn't a major factor like it used to be, rather it's the architecture of the CPU that has a bearing on what is faster, i.e can process more information.

GeForce is just a name given by the manufacturer of video chipsets for video cards called Nvidia. Their rival is AMD which also makes CPUs.

Core2Quad is the name given to the Intel CPU of that particular model. In this case there are 4 cores in the CPU hence the quad designator in the name.

I would go here and enter the search terms you are interested in. It's a start. www.wikipedia.com

Oh. You have 4GB (Giga Bytes) 4 billion bytes of memory or RAM (Random Access Memory) in your computer. Memory is temp storage for frequent access by programs (correct term, application) instead of writing to the hard disk drive. The hard disk drive is what stores all your programs, data.

Your system was fairly high-end in 2008 or 2009 but is now quite old. Are you looking to upgrade?
