I upgraded my computer 2-3 weeks ago and this is what I upgraded
Nvidia motherboard -> Gigabyte motherboard
AMD 64 3500+ @ 2.2ghz (single core) -> AMD 64 x2 6000+ @3.1 GHz stock @ 3.2 GHz overclocked (dual core)
2 x 512 MB DDR Kingston RAM -> 2 x 1GB DDR2 Kingston RAM
7600 gt Nvidia Palit -> 9600 gt Nvidia Palit 1GB 700/1750/2000 stock @ 720/1800/2050 overclocked
Now I'm happy with everything except my graphics card. I upgraded mine and most people seem to have a better one... I also had to upgrade my PSU to 500w.
I might save up for a new one so I can get one somewhere next year but I'd also need a new PSU probably, and it would maybe bottleneck my CPU.
I've only got about 150 pln (polish money) and my gfx card costed about 500 + 180 for PSU. With x-mas and my birthday (january 7th) around the corner I should get about 800-1000 PLN so I will have money for a gfx card (ofc I wont upgrade when I get it but when I need to.
I run cod4 at smooth fps with almost all settings on high and sometimes in campain in HEAVY combat I felt it drop to 25-30 but usually its high and I can't feel it.
I might get some better games in the future where I will need to upgrade my gfx card.
What do you guys think?
Is 9600 GT a decent gfx card?
