I FEEL STUPID what are BIOS and how do I get to them

At bootup you have to hit the key(s) designated by your computer to access the BIOS. This is usually displayed on the first boot-up screen, and most comonly it is, "Del" key or one of the "F#" keys.

BIOS is the Basic Input Output System
To acsses it press del at bootup or it could be F1 etc.
