I got a problem with opening apps

Hey, so i have hotspot shield, and i right clicked it so it could open from google chrome/mozilla firefox, however, when i finished that, it turns out that, now almost all of my startup. exe's open up on mozilla, even programs such as notepad. i tried undoing it but it will not work, help anyone?
 
Sounds to me that your file associations are screwed up. Google for fix file associations and that should help your problem.
 
you could try this

You need to right click your program or link and choose "Run as". In the dialog, uncheck Protect, Say ok and hopefully everything should work. ;)
