i got hold of comcast they say they cant help me with my ip that why i am leaving comcast soon and what should i do to get my ip fixed should i buy a better router at walmart .
they let me call because they add me as a user on their accountYour router has nothing to do with your IP, a modem does sort of. You don't need to keep creating new threads about the same issue. Your story sounds very weird. If Comcast said your IP was supposedly hacked and causing issues for you to access sites, then they should do whatever they need to do to help. Let me ask you something. You say you are 14 years old. Your parents are the account holders, shouldn't they be calling comcast for help? Something just doesn't jive here.
i know that why my family is leaving comcast might go to dish because they are having issues with comcastWell, if comcast can't help you. What do you expect us to do to help you? Comcast controls your IP, not us.
Comcast is probably about as tired of the stupidity as we are.
You don't need a new router to get a new IP, you're likely causing all of the issues you've been experiencing. i just got it fixed now by reset my router
i fixed itUsually there is only one cable provider per area, who are you going with if you ditch Comcast? Dish is satellite, and is MUCH worse than cable. You have much slower speeds, a limited monthly bandwidth cap, and significantly higher pings which makes gaming nearly unusable.
Is this still just one forum you can't use? Again, contact the admin and explain the situation and see if they can whitelist your IP.
After you got your new router/modem, did you check if the IP was different than before?
What did you do to fix it?i fixed it
i use CMD to fix itWhat did you do to fix it?
I assume you ran an ipconfig command in the CMD? That only chances your internal IP, it does not change your external IP.i use CMD to fix it
