I had a virus and i fixed it?

I had to recover my pc and now that it is recovered it is slower and i have defraged and cleaned discs any advice

Just a warning, viruses and malware like to hide out in system restore files so that if you do a system restore you will still be infected. Better do a full virus scan and malware scan.

Yes. Pop in your Windows disc and Install, not Repair.

You'll be asked where to install it, and tell it C:
It will warn you that there's already an OS there,
but disregard. Bill doesn't know you had a virus.

Format the C: partition when asked to, do a Quick Format.

Voila. It will be as fast as ever.

Agreed. A restored, potentially infected backup just puts you back to where you were.

Yes sorry i meant to say recover everything and reformat the drive. make new partition(S) and start all over....

Run > temp , and delete all the temporary files from the computer .
Run > %temp% , and delete all the junk files from the computer .
Run > prefetch , and delete all the junk files from the computer .

After the scan your computer , with updated antivirus .
