hi i bought a lap top whit vista installed on it but i realixze that vista suks and i practicly bough the lap top to play world f war craft and now i know that wow has incompatibility problems whit vista so i whant window xp in my lap but the xp instalation cd dosnt accept the hard drive it says that no hard drive is instaled in my computer i have a 160 hard drive isntaled so i dontk kwno what to do i was thinkif in complety format my omputer and loose vista and try to instal the xp but i afraid that the instalation wont work eiter so i need some help please i need some coments abaut this problem thanks

And Vista doesn't suck, it's a lot better than the crappy XP. Did someone tell you that WoW has compatibility problems in Vista? Or did you install it? If installed, patch it!

Vista is so much nicer if your computer can run it. I have a laptop that is "Vista ready", but when I installed vista it barely runs, and it take so much longer for data DVDs to load. As for your question, try and reformat the hard drive. Beware though, all the videocard,bluetooth, etc. drivers are really hard to find.
Dude, WoW can run on my crappy Gateway with like 512 MB RAM, Celron 1.8, and with like 8 mb graphics. I did have to lower my display settings, and direct connect into my router. Vista is the future suck it up! I am pretty sure if Vista can run on it WoW should be able to with ease... Downgrading to XP is a hard issue also usually when you buy a computer that is "Vista Ready" is genrally means Vista only, due to chip set drivers that only work with vista and jack up if you put XP on the system.

Yes it sucks, because it works for you thats why you say its better than XP, i think its time you put yourself in the shoe of others that vista dont work for them.if vista never worked for you, trust me you would say XP was better

If you've done that, can you steer me in the direction to get some info and helps. I, alas, also hate Vista, I'm getting used to it but can't stand the moans and groans every time my husband gets on it "Why did they change things just to change things, nothing is where it used to be and why does it keep asking me stuff all the time". He uses XP at work every day and likes it. Should I ask Dell before I reformat my hard drive if there are chip set restrictions? Not a techie so I need some good instructions to do this.

if you really want xp and u have vista pre installed i supposed it would be morral to get a warez version of xp since vista costs more and u r not going to use it any more you have a right to get it for free
